Katelyn wrote this amazing story of her proposal and its too cute not to share completely! “Tom took Katelyn back to the same place they went on their first date. He had it all planned out. He would have had the DJ play ‘their song’ and then he would propose. Well…the ring got lost in shipping, causing it not to arrive that Tuesday like it should have. Tom had to come up with another plan. The ring came the next day, Wednesday. The perfect timing to propose did not present itself that day. Thursday rolled around and Tom had mentioned to Katelyn that it was going to be warm that day and going on a walk sounded like a good idea. She agreed.

After fulfilling their church callings by going to ward visits Thursday evening, they went to Katelyn’s brother’s house to say goodbye to her mom who was leaving town. Turns out the Olympics were also on so they stayed and watched for a while. Tom eventually got Katelyn to leave and they walked around the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and talked. Because they both had work early the next morning, Tom suggested they take a picture and leave to be home at a good time. As Katelyn pulled out her phone to take a selfie of her and Tom, Tom got down on one knee. He said some pretty sweet words and then popped the question. And of course, Katelyn said YES!”

This was the first time for me shooting Capitol Blossom engagements! These blossoms circle the Utah State Capitol and they were in full force when their finally came! It was meant to be! Her dress matched the blossoms so perfectly and we even ventured into Memory Grove park a little. I loved when Tom took his jacket off and gave it to her when she got chilled. They are so sweet to each other and happy to be married in June!! I can’t wait! Enjoy!
