It was our senior year of high school. Everyone knew that she was perfect for him, and he was perfect for her. They were both so chill, drama-free and fun. Together, they made the most fun, down-to-earth couple. It was right before Sadies when we all got on Madelynn’s case to ask Michael to the dance. She finally did, and the rest is history.
I’ve been documenting their love from the very beginning. Okay, not really…but I was there….and when they first started dating I snuck This picture. 5.5 years ago.
They started dating, left for college together and now they are MARRIED!!!
It was August 1st. A beautiful, sunny HOT day in Lacey, Washington at Hunter Family Farms. The girls were packed in the bridal suite getting themselves and the bride ready… and the guys were golfing. It’s Michael and Madelynn so of course their bridal party was huge. They have so many amazing friends. It was total chaos in the bridal room with make up, eye lashes, curling irons and clothes everywhere. Madelynn says it’s one of her favorite parts of a wedding day. They were laughing and having a blast together. As soon as she was dressed we headed out for the first look. Michael, Madelynn, all the bridesmaids and the best men were all crying by the time Michael saw and hugged his beautiful bride. The rest of our time passed pretty quickly. Between greeting all the guests, family pictures, and staying hydrated, the ceremony seemed like just seconds later. It was hot, but it was incredibly gorgeous too. Everyone was crying…and sweating. It was a hot mess…and very emotional/happy! I loved watching the Michael and Madelynn I remember from high school. Even in the serious moments they find a way to make each other and everyone else laugh. Madelynn’s adorable giggle and Michael’s silly moves.
The reception was a big party. My absolute favorite part was the toasts. Madelynn and Michael are the same kind, genuine, happy, loving people I remember and everyone who spoke said the same thing. There is truly no better match. They are two of the best people I know. And when I grow up I want to be exactly like them. As a person, and as a couple.
