This beautiful family is part of the Kylee Ann family. Not only have they been clients for many years, but now Abi is our VA. Our right hand girl. She keeps everyone’s calendars straight. Plus she answers the emails and calls, sends invoices and contracts and does the podcast. We don’t know what we’d do without her.
Abi and Taylor have become my good friends. They are hilarious, and sarcastic, and call me on my crap. They’re the kind of friends that will come re-hang your curtains but make fun of you for it the whole time. ;) It’s crazy how clients can turn into such amazing friends…and then employees so quickly.
I got to go inside their home last month, and take precious newborn pictures of Owen. Their beige and white home, and beige and white outfits made for the dreamiest, creamiest photoshoot. When in doubt, white and beige. It made for such a precious scene. Molly was so sweet with baby Owen. She’s the BEST big sister.

Planning Your Session
When planning your session, one of the most important things to consider is the timing. It’s best to book your session within 10-14 days after your baby’s birth so they can be as sleepy as possible during their photo shoot. You should also take into consideration the time of day you will be taking the photos. Natural light is best for capturing warm and cozy images. Try to plan your session around the best light.
Preparing For Your Session
Once you have booked your session, it’s time to start preparing! Make sure that your house is clean and tidy; decluttering will make it easier for the photographer to move around and find great angles while taking pictures. If you want to add special touches such as throws or pillows, feel free to do so—just avoid using any props with bright colors like red or orange since these can cast an unwanted tint on the photographs.
In Home Lifestyle Newborn Photography Tips
When it comes time for shooting, remember that less is more! Allow plenty of space for movement both inside and outside of frame; too much clutter can take away from how beautiful and serene your photographs look.
