Posing with Your Extended Family on the Beach

Capturing memories of your extended family can be a fun and rewarding experience. It’s also a chance to get creative with posing to create a print worthy photo! Whether it’s posed close together, spread out, or utilizing benches and stools to create unique groupings, there are plenty of options when it comes to posing your extended family on the beach. Let’s explore how to bring these ideas to life!

Posed Close Together

A great way to capture the closeness that your extended family shares is by having them posed close together. This look can be achieved simply by having everyone form a line facing the camera or in a half-circle formation. If you want something more interesting, have everyone form an arc shape and make sure that each person’s face is visible from the camera’s perspective. You can also try having them all sit down on the sand if you don’t have any props like benches or stools available for use.

Posed Spread Out

Alternatively, if your extended family isn’t as close or you simply want a different look for your photos, have them posed spread out on the beach instead! This will give you some beautiful landscape shots that showcase each individual’s personality while still showing off the unity of your extended family. To do this, each member can find their own spot in either a standing or sitting position and then all turn towards the camera at once. This gives each person their own space while still displaying their connection with each other as part of one big family.

Fun Groupings with Props

Having props such as benches and stools allows you to create some fun groupings with your extended family members that would otherwise be difficult – or even impossible – without them! For example, try having all of the grandparents seated together in one formation while all of the grandchildren stand around them in another formation facing away from each other so that they are connected but not too crowded together. You can also take advantage of any natural elements on the beach such as rocks or logs for everyone to lean against which adds some texture and interest to your photos too!

When posing your extended family on the beach, there is no limit to what you can do! From posing close together to spread out poses, using props for fun groupings or just relying on natural elements found on shoreline – there are so many possibilities for creating memorable photos that capture both individuality and connection between members of your extended family. So grab your extended family members and give us a call to book your extended family session!
