Snowy Extended Family Pictures in Logan Canyon – Winter Family Photography in Cache Valley
These Snowy Extended Family Pictures in Logan Canyon were pure winter magic. This beautiful family gathered during the holidays, taking advantage of everyone being in town to capture updated family portraits in one of the most scenic spots in Cache Valley. With the fresh snow covering the trees and mountains, Logan Canyon gave us the dreamiest backdrop for these extended family photos.
Winter can be a tricky time for outdoor sessions, but this one was full of warmth and joy—even with the chill in the air. Everyone came dressed perfectly for the season in cozy neutrals and soft layers that popped against the snowy surroundings. We started with full group shots, then broke it down into individual families, grandparent portraits, cousin pictures, and all the special relationships in between.
Extended family sessions are so special because they bring together generations, tell the story of a legacy, and freeze a moment in time when everyone is finally together. It’s not just about the photos—it’s about documenting connection.
The kids were little troopers in the cold! We kept things moving, brought blankets between shots, and even got some playful snow moments that added personality and fun to the session. As a Logan Canyon family photographer, I’m used to working in all kinds of weather, and with a little prep (and a lot of layering), winter sessions can be some of the most beautiful.
This snowy extended family gallery is filled with heartfelt smiles, cozy closeness, and that unmistakable magic that only winter in the mountains can bring.
