Temple Wedding Photos at the Oakland LDS Temple | Rhett & Josh
Looking for gorgeous and easygoing wedding portraits? Rhett and Josh’s wedding photos at the Oakland LDS Temple were all that and more. We had dreamy skies, zero fog (a miracle, tbh), and the kind of fun that makes you forget you’re technically “posing.”
Bay Area Blue Skies
If you’ve ever tried to shoot in Oakland, you know the fog can show up like an uninvited guest. But somehow, on this magical day, we got beautiful blue skies, scattered clouds, and the most delicious filtered sun. It was giving “Pinterest-worthy,” but make it real life.
Honestly, I kept waiting for the fog to sneak back in like “heyyy I heard you were shooting,” but nope. We stayed golden.

Parents Who Hype
Rhett and Josh’s parents came along and basically became my unofficial hype squad. They were so sweet and helpful—and honestly, kinda hilarious. It felt like everyone was just vibing and having fun, not “trying” to get the perfect shot… which, of course, is exactly how you get the perfect shot.
Rhett and Josh themselves? Pure magic. Their chemistry was effortless—laughing, cuddling, joking around like they forgot I was even there. Just how I like it.

Shooting in My Hometown
This wasn’t just a beautiful session—it was a personal one. The Oakland LDS Temple is in my hometown, and being back there brought all the nostalgic feels. The scent of native plants, the familiar paths—it felt like home. But with cameras. And really good hair.
