A year ago, Cara and Christian pledged themselves to each other for eternity in the Timpanogos Temple. A year and a day later, they grabbed the quilt Cara’s mom made for her, Cara’s favorite Roolee dress and a mini cake that had the same flavors of her wedding cake and headed up the mountain. This first year has already been full of ups and downs, living away from family, learning new things like mountain biking, learning how to love each other best and more. They set up their little picnic along one of their fave biking trails and looked into each other’s eyes as they took turns reading vows to each other. They wiped a few tears as they reminisced over the best parts of their first year of marriage and popped some sparking cider to toast to the first 356 days of marriage. They were especially excited to taste their cake, since the wedding day was such a blur they didn’t get a slice. These guys have a love unlike any other I have seen. They are raw, and real, but also grounded. They have big dreams, but even bigger plans for the future. They are currently on a European adventure before they move to Northern Cali for the summer. I am honored to know and get to experience the love these two have for each other. I love being a Utah anniversary photographer!
