Isabel and Elijah are SO fun, so chill, so easy going and so good looking. We had such a fun engagement session just hanging out. I LOVE being with these two, and I also love Isabel’s version of their “meeting story” way better than one I could tell. Just wait till you hear their proposal story. Elijah is such a romantic!
We lived right across the street from each other our entire Freshman year. Classic “girl next door” romantic comedy. Only the comedy is that nothing happened until the summer following our freshman year.
We both were members of the Polynesian Student Union at USU and starting seeing each other more often because we would both go to dance practices for the upcoming annual luau. We flirted like children and played way too hard to get…well I did…naturally. A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s do, right?
School ended and our summer fire fling ignited. I got put on a chopping block with every other girl at the school and he was the only one on my mind as I traveled to three different states for 3 months. A couple hearts were broken, including mine, and summer slowly came to a dramatic close. I thought I lost him to some other secondary character in my perfect romantic comedy story.
Lucky for us, God has a hand in everything and before our sophomore years started, we ran into each other again…at church. Oh, the irony.
We talked and walked later on that night, made ourselves emotionally vulnerable, decided to focus on each other, and then he finally kissed me for the first time. Took him long enough. *cough cough* 1 year *cough cough*
Sparks flew and they still do.
