Some sessions feel tender, meaningful, and full of emotion. This one hit every note. I had the privilege of photographing Beau as he prepares to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kenya, Africa. That’s a huge adventure and an even bigger leap of faith. His Missionary Photos in Preston Idaho felt intentional, grounded, and full of purpose. Since I’ve photographed Beau before for his senior photos—and photographed his sister for her mission—it felt special to continue that tradition with his family.

We kept things classic for Beau’s session. Clean backdrops and simple compositions helped his personality stand out. His calm confidence showed up in every frame. Missionary sessions hold a unique mix of emotions. They carry pride, peace, and a sense of growth that only comes when someone steps into something bigger than themselves. Beau embraced all of that.

He’s the second missionary in his family, and you can tell he’s ready. His kind smile and steady heart made the entire session feel warm and grounded. He’s heading to Kenya with so much goodness to share. Watching that readiness unfold in front of my lens felt like a true honor.
