A Windy but Wonderful Night Taking Family Photos at The Narrows

The only thing stronger than the wind during this session was the love in this family. The Larsens have stepped in front of my camera several times, but this round felt extra special. They invited grandma and grandpa to join them for their fall mini session, and it made their Family Photos at The Narrows even more meaningful. The gusty weather tried hard to steal the spotlight, but everyone showed up with happy hearts and the best attitudes. Their joy created a gallery packed with sweet, connected moments that highlight the beauty of three generations together.

Windy sessions can feel unpredictable, but this one proved that a little breeze can make photos even more magical. The movement in their hair, the cozy snuggles, and the laughter between gusts added so much life to their images. The Larsens embraced every moment and helped turn a windy evening into something unforgettable.

Why Family Photos at The Narrows Still Shine on Windy Days

Utah weather has a mind of its own, and this day delivered all the wind. Instead of fighting it, we rolled with it. We tucked behind trees for breaks and used calm pockets to grab those perfect shots. The wind added emotion and energy, which gave their photos a natural, honest feel. Moments like these remind me that real life doesn’t pause for perfect conditions, and that’s exactly why these images feel so rich and heartfelt.

The Larsens handled everything like champs. Their laughter kept the session light, and their connection stayed strong through every gust. Their gallery shows the love between generations in such a real, tender way.

Why Adding Grandparents Makes Sessions Extra Special

Multi-generational photos carry a special kind of magic. When grandparents join in, the images often become legacy pieces that families cherish for decades. Grandma snuggling her grandbabies, grandpa coaxing out giggles, and full group portraits that show everyone together all hold sentimental weight. Moments like these deserve to be documented.

Mini sessions don’t have to be limited to immediate family. Bring the grandparents, the in-laws, or anyone who makes your family feel whole. These connections matter, and photos preserve them beautifully.

Why The Narrows Works in Every Season

Wind or not, The Narrows continues to be one of my favorite locations. Its open fields, pretty mountain backdrop, and soft, natural light create an easygoing atmosphere that lets families relax. When families feel comfortable, the magic happens fast.

If you want joyful, natural, multi-generational photos, I’d love to plan your session. Click to book or send me a message on Instagram @regie.kastudios. I’ll bring the gear—you bring your people (and maybe a windbreaker). 💨📷❤️
