This is Max.
On Monday, I got to meet this sweet baby who is now just barely a week old.
In this short two hours that I spent with Max, I felt the love that surrounded him.
This is Erica.
Erica is Max’s birth mom.
She is courageous, selfless, and loves Max.
Erica gave Max this special monkey quilt that she sewed for him.
But more than that, Erica gave Max a beautiful life.
Erica’s family also loves Max.
I took two sets of four generation pictures with Max’s mom, grandparents and great-grandparents.
If you look close, you can see the ring she wears a ring on her finger that says “Max”
Erica loved Max so much that she gave him two beautiful sisters, Lucy and Sarah.
She gave him a beautiful, loving mother.
A mother who was adopted.
A mother who had one girl, adopted another beautiful girl, and now a handsome boy.
A mother who loves Erica and will always welcome her in the family.
And she gave Max a father.
A father that gets down on his knees and plays with his kids.
Patient, Kind, Loving.
So that’s Erica. Beautiful, selfless Erica. And that’s Max. Loved.
