Study Buddies go on a First Date
I’m so excited to share this Alpine Art Center wedding. Their story starts over year ago… She was the cute girl that walked into Dallin’s class. They were study buddies the whole semester. Dallin decided Emily would be the perfect girl to take on a date towards the end of the semester.
At some point she had mentioned her life goal of milking a cow. Dallin remembered that detail and searched everywhere in Rexburg to find a cow for the date. He found one but it wasn’t ready until the next week. So instead Dallin asked her on a first date and a second date at the same time. She was so surprised and he quickly worked his way into her heart!
Surprise Proposal in Portland
Dallin is a man of big gestures. Fast forward about a year and a half, Dallin had planned a day date for them in SLC. He told her to plan on a play that evening and a dinner at his sister’s house the next day. Little did she know that he was blind folding her and driving her to the airport instead.
When they got there, he had two tickets to Portland (where her parents live). He led her to believe that they were just there to spend the day. He took her to a flower festival… where he got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. She was so surprised and so happy to say yes!!
A few moments later a photographer came out from the flowers that Dallin had organized to come capture the moment!! Then his last surprise was that they got to go spend the weekend with her family!
Alpine Art Center Wedding
These guys were married just 5 weeks after their Portland weekend. Amazing right!? You would never guess with all the details they included in their day!
They were married on a sunny October afternoon at the Timpanogos Temple. They walked out of the temple to cheers from friends and family! Many people flew in to be there for the day. Let me tell you, these guys are popular!!! I met mission friends, high school friends, family members from all over and it was amazing!! They are so loved!
Their reception was a reception from my dreams! The Alpine Art Center is the perfect indoor/outdoor venue for summer and fall weddings. The full ballroom was packed with tables and people all night long and the multi course catering set up was out on the lawn. Cali Rose Wedding Florals made the room come alive with large oversized floral arrangements. Her floral work is more like floral mastery. I’m so impressed by her! Marvelous Catering had am amazing spread complete with fire grills for the steak and a custom ice cream and cookie ice cream sandwich bar. The guests lingered all night long, enjoying the food, company and dancing under the lights outside!
An Unusual Wedding Exit
Dallin and Emily have an infectious energy about them and the day reflected their personalities so perfectly. Kale Fitch films, a legend in the industry, completed a same day slideshow for guests to get to see a sneak peak from the day earlier. One of my favorite parts of their wedding day was their exit on the tandem bike that Dallin had bought her last Christmas. Congrats to these guys! I’m so glad I got to serve them on their wedding day!
