A Meaningful Baptism Session at the Bountiful Temple
Aspen was so sweet for her baptism photos at the Bountiful LDS Temple.
There is something especially meaningful about photographing a baptism when the details of the day have so much family history behind them. For Aspen, two of those details made her session extra special.
She wore her mother’s baptism dress, creating a beautiful connection between the two of them. It wasn’t just a beautiful dress—it was something that had already been part of an important day in her mom’s life and was now becoming part of Aspen’s story, too.

The Details That Make Baptism Photos Personal
Aspen’s mom also hand-painted her Book of Mormon.
I love details like this because they make baptism photos so much more personal.
Of course, we want the beautiful temple portraits. But years from now, I think families will also love seeing the things that made that particular baptism day theirs.
The dress.
The Book of Mormon.
The little details that were chosen, made, or passed down specifically for this milestone.
Those things tell a story that goes beyond simply documenting what Aspen looked like on her baptism day.

Baptism Photos That Tell Their Story
When I photograph baptism sessions, I want to give families a mix of beautiful portraits and meaningful details.
We can take the classic photos you know you’ll want to frame, while also making time for the little pieces that matter to your family.
For Aspen, photographing her in her mom’s baptism dress and with her hand-painted Book of Mormon created photos that connected her special day to her family’s story.
That is one of my favorite things about milestone photography. You only get one chance to document these moments as they happen, but the photographs can become part of your family history for years to come.
