My Dear Mason,

How happy I am to have you as part of our family! In your short time with us, I’ve grown so much because of you. Since we moved to Utah, one month after finding out I was pregnant, I have felt disconnected – from your brothers, from myself, from the spirit. I buried my self in work in “preparation” for you but really it was to not feel the sorrow of this move.

Being forced to rest after delivering you c-section has been the biggest blessing. How the Lord must have known I would need you. I’ve been able to spend special time with you and your brothers. They love you so much too!

Though I feel overwhelmed at the prospect of raising three boys, I can already see your connection and know you will be good to each other.

May you be blessed with confidence, with the knowledge of how much you are loved, with perseverance, and with a joy for learning.
