Senior year is such a fun mix of looking back at everything you’ve accomplished and getting excited about what’s next. Brielle’s senior session was especially meaningful for me because I’ve been photographing her for years—and she was actually in my seventh-grade class.
It’s pretty surreal to now be taking her senior pictures and watching her get ready to graduate.
For her session, we captured gorgeous mountain portraits, incorporated her guitar, and then headed to the softball field to highlight one of the sports she loves most.
As a Preston Idaho senior photographer, I love creating senior sessions that feel personal to each student instead of looking like a collection of generic poses.

Senior Photos That Actually Feel Like You
The best senior portraits should tell people something about who you are right now.
For Brielle, that meant including the things that have been part of her high school experience.
Her guitar.
Her love of softball.
The mountain scenery around Preston.
And, of course, plenty of portraits that simply let her personality shine.
Those details make a senior gallery feel much more personal than a session where we only focus on traditional portraits.
Mountain Senior Pictures in Preston
Preston has so many beautiful options for senior photography, especially when you want mountain scenery.
We started Brielle’s session with gorgeous outdoor portraits surrounded by the natural landscape. The mountains gave us a completely different look from the photographs we created later at the softball field.
I love mixing locations and backgrounds during a senior session because it gives you a gallery that feels varied without losing the overall cohesive look.

Including Your Hobbies in Senior Photos
If there’s something you love, bring it to your senior session.
It could be a guitar, sports equipment, dance shoes, a car, a hobby, or anything else that feels like an important part of your life.
For Brielle, her guitar and softball were obvious choices.
I especially loved ending the session at the softball field because it gave us the opportunity to document not just what she looks like during her senior year, but what she actually enjoys doing.
Those photographs will bring back memories of this exact season of her life.
Watching a Student Become a Senior
As a photographer, I get to meet so many seniors at the end of high school.
But Brielle’s session felt a little different for me because I’ve known her for so long.
I remember her from seventh grade, and now she’s graduating, enjoying high school, playing sports, and getting ready for whatever comes next.
It is such a privilege to photograph someone through different seasons of their life and then get to document this milestone.
Your Preston Senior Photographer
Senior pictures should feel like a celebration of who you are—not just a checklist of poses.
Whether you want mountain portraits, sports photos, hobby-focused images, or a little bit of everything, I want your senior session to feel like you.
If you’re looking for a Preston Idaho senior photographer for senior pictures in Preston, Franklin County, or surrounding southeastern Idaho, I’d love to create a session that captures this chapter before you move on to the next one.
