If you haven’t had to change plans in the last 10 months, consider yourself lucky.
A change of plans for the norm now-a-days. It may not be a big deal when you are rescheduling lunch with your girlfriends, but changing wedding plans may be a little tricky! We have have seen EVERYTHING you can possibly imagine this past year.
We have so much experience with planning COVID style weddings, and are here to help in every way along the way.
Changing the Date and Venue
Let your guests know as soon as possible and a change of date for your wedding. Many of them may have to change travel accomidations such as flights and hotels, both of which are being very understanding about rescheduling.
There are several ways to let guests know about changes. You can send out an additional insert with details via mail, create a Facebook group and make updates there, or enlist the help of family, friends, and the bridal party to get the word out!
Changing Guest Count
It can be sad and a little awkward to tell someone who was previously invited to your wedding that they aren’t anymore. Unfortunately, you may have to limit the amount of people you celebrate with. The situation may not be ideal & it had help to add a little humor. Try something like “Nothing can keep us apart… except COVID. COVID can keep us apart.”
Be open to change, as changing wedding plans is quite normal right now.
Here are some additional resources to plan your COVID wedding ;)
