Children’s Product Photography in Layton Utah | Kelly Hughes Design Brand Session

This children’s product photography in Layton Utah session for Kelly Hughes Design was such a fun mix of playful lifestyle moments and clean product imagery. Abi photographed this session near the Layton area, combining flat lays with child models to create content that felt colorful, approachable, and full of personality.

Kelly Hughes Design creates customizable children’s dinnerware, and honestly, the products photographed beautifully. The personalized details made every setup feel thoughtful and unique, which is exactly what makes products like this stand out online.

I love sessions like this because they give brands so much variety to work with. Parents shopping for children’s products want to clearly see the details, but they also want to picture the products being used in real life. Mixing flat lays with lifestyle imagery helps create both.

Children’s Product Photography in Layton Utah with Flat Lays and Lifestyle Imagery

For this session, we focused on creating a balance between polished product shots and playful, personality-filled images with child models. The flat lays helped highlight the customized names, colors, and design details, while the lifestyle portion brought warmth and connection into the gallery.

Lifestyle photos are especially important for children’s brands because they help customers emotionally connect to the product. Seeing little hands holding personalized dinnerware or children interacting naturally with the products instantly makes the brand feel more relatable.

We kept the styling bright, clean, and simple so the products stayed front and center. That approach works especially well for e-commerce brands because the images feel versatile enough for websites, social media, email campaigns, and online shops.

One thing I love about offering children’s product photography in Layton Utah is how many amazing small businesses are growing throughout Davis County and Northern Utah right now. Brands in Layton, Kaysville, Farmington, and Syracuse deserve content that feels just as polished and strategic as larger national companies.

Why customized children’s products photograph so well

Personalized products naturally create a stronger emotional connection with customers. Parents love seeing their child’s name incorporated into something practical and cute, and photography helps bring that experience to life before they even purchase.

For this session, we intentionally captured a mix of clean product-focused images alongside more candid interactions. That combination gives brands flexibility while still keeping their visuals cohesive across platforms.

Working with children always brings an extra layer of spontaneity to a shoot, but honestly, that’s usually where the best moments happen. Some of my favorite images from sessions like this come from the in-between moments that feel natural and unposed.

Abi created such a fun, welcoming environment throughout the session, and the final gallery felt playful while still staying elevated and professional.

I photograph commercial sessions throughout Layton, Ogden, Farmington, and surrounding Utah areas, and I love seeing more local brands investing in strong visual content. Quality photography makes such a difference for product-based businesses, especially online.

This session was such a perfect example of how children’s product photography in Layton Utah can feel both strategic and genuinely joyful.

If you’re launching a children’s brand or updating your product imagery, I’d love to help create photos that connect with your audience and showcase your products beautifully. Reach out through my contact page and let’s plan your session.
