Senior year is such a special season of life. It deserves photos that feel just as memorable. Zoe’s Class of 2026 senior session in Del Mar, California was the perfect mix of coastal views, colorful wildflowers, and effortless style. As a San Diego senior photographer, I love when seniors choose locations that show off the natural beauty of Southern California. Del Mar’s coastal cliffs and beaches made the perfect backdrop for Zoe’s photos.
Del Mar Coastal Cliff Senior Photos with Spring Wildflowers
We started Zoe’s senior session on the coastal cliffs in Del Mar, surrounded by blooming wildflowers. This year has been incredible for spring flowers in San Diego County thanks to all the rain we received earlier in the season. The cliffs were covered in soft purple sea lavender and other colorful blooms. It honestly felt like the perfect hidden field of wildflowers overlooking the ocean.
Zoe mentioned she loved the idea of photos in a wildflower field, so this spot ended up being the best of both worlds. We had the flowers she wanted while still capturing the classic San Diego coastal cliff views.
The colors looked amazing with her outfits. The flowers added texture, color, and movement to the photos, which made her gallery feel vibrant and unique.
Senior Outfit Ideas for Del Mar Senior Photos
Zoe brought three outfits, which gave us amazing variety throughout her gallery.
Her first look featured the cutest pair of “Class of ‘26” jeans from Hollister. I honestly thought they were handmade when I first saw them. They were such a fun and personal detail for her senior photos. Paired with a casual top, the look felt relaxed and perfect for the coastal cliff setting.
Next, she changed into a boho-inspired long skirt, which flowed beautifully in the ocean breeze. This outfit worked perfectly with the wildflowers and cliffside views.
Finally, Zoe wore a playful mini dress for the last part of her session. It added a fun and youthful vibe to the gallery. Bringing multiple outfits is always one of my top recommendations for seniors because it creates so much variety in the final photos.
From Coastal Cliffs to Beach Photos in Del Mar
After exploring the cliffs, we made our way down to the Del Mar beach for the second half of Zoe’s session. Shooting in two locations during a senior session is one of my favorite ways to add variety.
The cliffs gave us colorful wildflowers and dramatic ocean views. The beach added soft sand, open skies, and classic Southern California beach portraits.
Zoe was such a natural in front of the camera. We moved through poses quickly because she was so comfortable and confident. That made the entire session feel relaxed and fun. Her personality really shines through in every photo.
