Every now and then, a collection drops that just feels different. That’s exactly what happened with the Maddie Messer x Electric Picks collab. Photographing this line was an absolute dream. As someone who specializes in photography for designer jewelry brands, I knew immediately that these pieces needed a setting that felt just as elevated and striking.
We found an incredible slab of Italian marble that became the base for our entire shoot. The subtle veining and cool-toned texture created the perfect contrast for the warm golds, sparkling diamonds, and fine detailing of the collection. Whether it was a delicate ring, bold hand chain, or elegant earrings, every piece stood out beautifully against the stone’s natural sheen.

The styling leaned into minimal elegance with a twist—think clean backdrops, soft shadows, and intentional hand placement to let the pieces shine. We played with scale, layering close-up details with pulled-back editorial-style shots. Each image was curated to not only show off the craftsmanship of the jewelry, but also tell a story about the woman wearing it: confident, modern, and totally unforgettable.
One of my favorite pairings from the shoot was the diamond ring with the matching hand chain—it felt bold yet wearable. We also loved the contrast between the two earring sizes in the collection. Styling them side-by-side created such a dynamic visual, and helped show customers how to mix and match effortlessly.

How to Nail Photography for Designer Jewelry Brands
When photographing high-end collabs like this one, every detail matters. Here’s how we made this shoot shine:
- Use intentional textures. A backdrop like Italian marble adds instant luxury.
- Tell a visual story. Let the product feel like part of a moment, not just a standalone object.
- Balance light + shadow. Use contrast to highlight shape, dimension, and sparkle.
