When Daddy got home from a week-long work trip and was leaving after the weekend for another work trip, we knew we had to do something extra special. For me a dream weekend would be either snuggling up in a blanket with my family, a hotel room to myself with two Benadryl and wi-fi OR a shopping/spa trip with unlimited funds. A dream trip for my children is a trip to the zoo. The excitement, curiosity and wonder in their eyes is almost more magical than our trip to Disneyland. Seriously. They are so fascinated with every single animal. Brody takes careful notes on his map on which animals we’ve seen and which animals we haven’t. When we were leaving the zoo, he noticed we missed the snakes, which happens to be the very furthest exhibit from the entrance. We went back, he checked off snakes from our list and we could finally leave with our zoo-agenda complete.
