This family decided to have family reunion pictures at Garden Park during the summer.

They took advantage of the fact that they were all together to get photos taken.  It is so special when we get to capture multiple generations all at once!  There were four generations here with Great Grandma!  We made sure to get all of the group photos from everyone to individual families, siblings, and even more!

If you haven’t thought about having family pictures during a reunion before you should ask yourself these questions. 

Do you already have a date planned for a family get together this year?   How often are you able to get everyone together as a family?  How different does your family look every year?  Are you constantly adding new family members?  How quickly do kids grow?

Here are a few tips for making your photo session a fun activity rather than just one more thing to check off of your to-do list.

Pick a location where you can explore, run and play together.  Good places would be an outdoor location with a body of water, fields, or trees.  Studios can be fun too especially if there is space to move around and possibly a couch to jump on.

Work together on choosing a color scheme so your clothes compliment each other.  You can even block off time to get ready and do hair and makeup together.  Girls, this is your chance to pamper your moms and help them feel like the beauty queen that they are!

Plan an activity to do after to celebrate capturing your family.  You could go out to get ice cream, or if you’re in Garden park probably one of the famous raspberry shakes.  This is a great incentive for kids, and the adults too, to smile and finish the family reunion pictures quickly.
