Capturing first time parents during a Logan studio newborn session is always such an honor.

This is the perfect place to help them relax and just be together as a little family without having to worry about anything else around them.  In this kind of session I always make sure to capture each member of the family with the new little one.  It is so important to remember the relationship they have together from the start.  In this case I made sure to get mom with baby, dad with baby, and both of them together with baby.

I especially love the contrast that showed with their neutral colored clothing choices.  Having dad wear black while baby wore white helped her stand out completely.  After all, baby is the star of the show!  I loved the monochromatic look of his black shirt against our black studio wall.  Mom’s tan shirt was just the right shade for beautiful skin tones and the white polkadots tied in to baby’s white blanket perfectly  The little bow on baby’s head was another well thought out accent.  It adds some feminine color while still showing off her incredible hair!

Besides just capturing relationships in a Logan studio newborn session, I also make sure to catch the details.  Details of how mom and dad interact with baby.  Close-ups of their little faces, and cute little expressions they make.  You will always want to remember how you would touch her little nose, swaddle her, or how she would contentedly lay on your chest.  But your relationship with baby isn’t the only important thing to capture  So is your relationship with each other!  You can guarantee that I will ask you to snuggle close, put your arms around each other, and put your heads together throughout our time together.
