Surprise Ceremony Officiant

You are going to enjoy this Flaming Gorge wedding blog! Lindy and Steve’s story is a little different compared to the usual story you read on our blog. Lindy and Steve have known each other for 10 years and been married for 4 years. But just had their wedding this year! Their 10 year anniversary was the perfect time to host all their friends and family for vow renewal near the stunning Flaming Gorge reservoir. This beautiful couple put so much work into planning a very perfect day. They chose to have their ceremony near a lake in the area. They surprised everyone when her bridesmaid and sister stepped in as the officiant. It was so special to have her be the one to share their unique story with the audience. There were tears shed, laughter had and tender vows renewed. It was truly a special ceremony.

Emotional Reception

They held their reception in Rock Springs, WY, where Steve and Lindy live. All their closest friends and family gathered to eat yummy pizza, treats and dance. They had sincere toasts from important people and there were many tears shed. Lindy’s father passed away before meeting Steve and her mom gave him a sweet tribute and Lindy danced with her uncle in his stead. It was such a tender and raw display of love and I had the honor of getting to photograph it. I love this couple and love them for taking me to so many amazing locations for their photography! Congrats guys!

Flaming Gorge Wedding

Lindy made my dreams come true when they took me to the same place that Steve proposed to her, which also happened to be a cliff on the side of Flaming Gorge. It was truly breathtaking to see the water so far below. We made sure to keep the bridal party away from the edge as we did the pictures there. I also loved the details that Lindy included, especially the hoop bouquets that are so on trend. The girls dusty blue dresses were so romantic and beautiful as well!
