There’s something incredibly magical about Family Photos at Bues Pond Ogden Utah, especially in early October when the leaves glow golden and the sunset reflects off the pond. This session with the Lindsay Child family captured not only the beauty of the season but also the warmth and connection between family members. Every image radiates love, laughter, and genuine moments that will be cherished for years.
Why Family Photos at Bues Pond Ogden Utah Are So Special
Bues Pond is one of my favorite fall locations in Ogden, and it’s easy to see why. The tree-lined trails, vibrant golden leaves, and reflective water create a naturally soft and flattering light. Whether families are walking along the trails, tossing leaves, or sitting on the grass, the scenery provides endless opportunities for beautiful, authentic photos. This location is especially great for families with young kids because it offers space to move, explore, and enjoy the moment.

The Lindsay Child family came ready to embrace the season and each other. Lindsay’s calm and nurturing energy set the tone, allowing her kids to be themselves—full of giggles, hugs, and playful moments. I simply followed their natural interactions, capturing the spontaneous joy of leaf tossing, sibling laughter, and quiet moments of affection. Even small gestures, like hands clasped or exchanged smiles, became highlights in the session.
As an adoptive parent myself, I particularly appreciated the way Lindsay’s family’s connection and love came through in each image. There’s a special bond that shines when children feel seen, safe, and adored, and every shot from this session tells that story. The golden-hour glow wrapping around the family made the images feel even more warm, tender, and timeless.

What I love most about Bues Pond is its versatility. Open grassy areas, shaded trails, and reflective water give photographers so many options without the need to travel far. Each backdrop creates a new perspective and allows families to feel relaxed while capturing meaningful memories.
This session wasn’t just about getting “good pictures.” It was about freezing a moment in time—capturing a family simply being together in their happiest, most natural moments. Lindsay and her family were a joy to photograph, and I’m grateful to have documented this chapter in their lives. Book your family session here.
