Green Canyon Extended Family Session | Gray Family

The Gray Family Green Canyon Extended Family Session was a cozy and memorable shoot during the holidays in one of my favorite local spots—Green Canyon in Logan, Utah. The Gray family scheduled their session while everyone was in town, which is the perfect time to get updated extended family pictures. These are the moments that don’t come around often, and it was such a joy to capture them together.

Even though the weather was a little stormy that day, the energy was amazing. The mountains gave us a soft, moody backdrop with just enough snow to feel festive, and the kids were absolute champs! They played, smiled, and cuddled up in between takes, giving us both posed and candid moments to work with.

Extended family sessions like this one are so important—they capture the generations, the connections, and the legacy all in one frame. We took the time to photograph the entire group, individual families, grandparents with grandkids, siblings, and everything in between. These are the kinds of images that become heirlooms.

As a Logan Utah family photographer, I love helping families feel comfortable and connected during their sessions. I bring gentle posing direction and plenty of patience, especially with little ones.
