Forty five years ago, Daren Falter was born. In those 45 years, Daren has gone by many titles… Daren, D, Human Stick Pole, D-money, Yoli Founder, VP, Uncle D, but his most important title to me has always been Dad and now, Bumpa D.
My dad is the best example of Christlike love, self-improvement, hard work ethic, objective listening and service.
My dad is not only kind to every person he meets, but an instant friend. I’ve never seen him be rude to anyone in my life… even that annoying guy that cuts you off and makes you want to honk and yell. He’s patient and loving.
My dad is always continuing to learn or push himself a little further. He is a man of many talents and skills from music, to writing, to photography, to hiking, to running, to biking, to reading and more. He is constantly reading and watching tutorials to learn new tricks and techniques. This summer he joined me at all my Washington weddings as my second shooter in full manual mode. He also hiked several mountains, wrote a novel, read countless books, biked hundreds of miles and the list goes on and on.
My dad is hardworking. Being an entrepreneur, he’s always had to work for his success. He works for his success in his businesses as well as working hard on his talents and family.
My dad is the best listener. He always holds an objective stand point and removes the emotional side, which was very helpful in a situation with 4 out of 6 girls. He taught me to look at both sides of an issue and removing bias.
My dad loves to serve. He serves his home teaching families, ward members, family members and service missions located all over the world. He is in charge of Yoli Give for his company that gives back to people everywhere.
Pretty much.. my dad is a rockstar and an amazing example to everyone around him. He is traveling on his birthday to some meetings and better body parties all over the US, so he deserves a blog so everyone can stop and think about him on his birthday. Happy Birthday daddy and Bumpa D!
