Last weekend, I had the honor of shooting Stephanie and Curtis’s destination wedding in Midway, Utah at the Homestead Resort. I showed up at the beautiful resort as everyone was finishing up the final touches. Emily Heugly from Serendipity in Logan did an incredible job on Stephanie’s hair and make up and stayed around for touch ups throughout the entire day. She also did the hair and make up for the flower girl and bridesmaids. She’s amazing. Wendell Pace and I scoped out the venue and captured all the details while the girls finished up the hair. I loved working Wendell (their videographer) and so did all the wedding guests.
After the flower girl was dressed and ready in her adorable hand-made gown from Amanda Folz, Stephanie got dressed in her gown from Petals and Promises. Dylan and Curtis waited patiently outside for their beautiful bride in their tuxes from Tux The Kater Shop. The first look was sweet with Dylan gasping at his mom and Curtis smiling so big. Then, we were off to the ceremony. The ceremony, with officiant Sharon Vollett, was tender…even Dylan’s lip quivered. I was choking back tears from behind the camera.
Dahlia Event Planning and Floral Design turned the Homestead banquet hall into the most beautiful dining room I have ever seen. The flower arrangements were to-die-for and the table settings were stunning. Stephanie and Curtis choreographed their first dance and it was amazing. They also had the father-daughter, mother-son dance, but what was really special was the bride-son dance. The DJ, Trevor with Opus Productions, got the party started and the dance floor was filled all night long. It was a beautiful celebration. Thank you for letting me be apart of it, Stephanie and Curtis.
