I had NO friends in this photography world when I started. 0. Zip. Nada. And that was hard. I felt like a fraud. I remember running into a group of professional photographers in town at dinner together and thinking “I’ll never be invited to sit at that table.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So do you know what I did next?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I quit. And here I am. ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nope. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I started my own table. With people that were feeling the same way as me. You’ll be surprised to know there were a lot of people feeling like they didn’t fit in. Our group grew and grew, and is still growing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our table is mostly virtual now in the Our Photog Blog Facebook Group. But there are no limits. You are invited. Invited to ask questions, vent frustrations, share your goals and just belong.
