Abuse cases are MILLIONS higher than last year. Millions. 😭 My heart has been heavy after learning about all the ways COVID has made sex trafficking easier, and rescues harder. We have to save these kids! We all can #RISEUP to fight against child sex trafficking. BE LOUD, and use your voice! Take the free training, and learn the signs. Report abuse. Be a volunteer. #EndHumanTrafficking
4 YEARS AGO, TAMI REACHED OUT TO ME TO CONTRIBUTE TO A CAMPAIGN SHE HAD STARTED FOR O.U.R.
It was the first time I had heard of Operation Underground Railroad. Me and Rachel instantly hopped on board.
Tami started this project because she loved having something to support rather than just learning about how awful this thing is that’s going on in the world todays.
She loved learning that there’s an organization out there doing something, rescuing these kids, providing help in their recovery and teaching other people how to prevent, training law enforcement on how to seek out these traffickers in these situations… etc.
There was something she could actually do to support this.
During the interview we talked about…
- + the campaign she started
- + the mistakes and what she learned
- + what kind of success she saw from it (It’s not what you think)
- + O.U.R + what it’s all about
- + how you can make a difference in your community
IT IS TRULY INSPIRATIONAL TO HEAR ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN SHE STARTED
“When you throw a stone out into the water, it creates ripples. Any good deed creates ripples, any good project creates ripples. And those ripples continue going. The awareness continues growing Even from the smallest thing. It may seem like there’s not making a big difference in your sphere or in my sphere, but overall the ripples are and we’re all contributing to a much greater good.”
Tami spent two years organizing a campaign to support Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R), spreading awareness for their mission and joining the fight against child trafficking. Today we’re talking all about what she did, how she did it and how you can help too.
