Call me typical but Taylor Swift has always been one of my favorite, if not my favorite, artists. I have always loved her music because she tells love stories in her songs. Photography is similar in that way. It’s unique because I get to capture images that tell stories instead of lyrics. But it’s an art all the same. This time I told the story of the USU Spirit Squad Coach Family on Campus.
I’ve booked quite a few family sessions over the years where the parents met at USU. I love capturing the love story and growing family all in one. The Watts family gave me that opportunity. Morgan and Dallin met and fell in love on campus over 9 years ago. Now, Morgan is the head USU Spirit Squad Coach.
USU campus has meant so much for this family. It plays a significant role past, present and future. I love taking pictures of where it all started for them, 9 years later with a beautiful growing family. My job was not to take one more picture of this family, but to help them tell their story. Their love and adoration for each other and their kids is expressed in every picture.

Watching her kids, I could see how perfect Morgan is as the USU spirit squad coach. The kids are bouncy and perky and just plain angelic. The family is naturally supportive of one another. Usually it’s a struggle to get young siblings to take photos without some pushing and shoving, but these kids had nothing but love for each other.
This family session was such a joy. It reminded me why I love my job.
