Kids Pajama Brand Photography | A Cozy Mini Shoot for Emory + Hope

Small product launches don’t always need a huge production. Sometimes a short, focused shoot is exactly what a brand needs to introduce a few new products with fresh, professional imagery.

I recently photographed a mini session for Emory + Hope, a children’s pajama brand, featuring two new patterns. I used my own home and my two kids as the models, which made this shoot feel especially natural and playful.

My daughter is 7 and my son is 4, so they brought a fun older-sister-and-younger-brother dynamic to the photographs that worked perfectly for a kids pajama brand.

As a kids clothing brand photographer, I love creating images that show children’s clothing in a way that feels real, comfortable, and relatable.

A Simple Shoot for New Pajama Patterns

Emory + Hope only needed photographs for a couple of new patterns, so we kept the session intentionally small.

There was no need for a complicated production or a large team. We focused on the new pajamas and created a collection of images the brand could use to showcase the patterns online and across their marketing.

That’s one of the benefits of commercial photography: the shoot can be built around exactly what your brand needs.

Whether you’re launching an entire collection or adding two new patterns, we can create a photography plan that makes sense for your products.

Why Kids Clothing Needs Lifestyle Photography

When parents shop for children’s clothing online, they want to see more than a flat product image.

They want to know what the pajamas look like on an actual child.

How do they fit?

How do the colors look?

What does the pattern look like when it’s being worn?

Lifestyle photography gives shoppers that context.

For children’s brands, I love creating images that feel like real childhood moments rather than overly posed catalog photographs.

Photographing Siblings as Models

Using siblings as models gave this Emory + Hope session an extra layer of personality.

An older sister and younger brother naturally interact differently than two unrelated models, and that relationship can make the photographs feel much more authentic.

For children’s clothing brands, those genuine interactions can be incredibly valuable.

A little giggling.

Playing together.

Being silly.

Simply existing in the same space.

Those are the kinds of moments that help customers imagine their own children wearing the products.

A Home Can Be the Perfect Commercial Photography Location

This shoot took place right in my home.

For a cozy product like children’s pajamas, that setting made perfect sense. It gave us a comfortable, familiar environment and helped the images feel like real life.

Commercial photography doesn’t always need a traditional studio setup.

Sometimes the most effective location is one that naturally communicates how the product is used.

For pajamas, home is pretty much perfect.

Building a Photography Library for Your Kids Brand

Even a small mini shoot can give a children’s clothing brand a valuable collection of content.

The photographs can be used for:

  • Product listings
  • Website banners
  • Social media
  • Email marketing
  • New pattern launches
  • Seasonal promotions

And because the images are created specifically for the brand, they can maintain a cohesive visual style as the collection grows.

As a kids clothing brand photographer, I love helping children’s brands create imagery that feels polished enough for e-commerce while still capturing the fun and personality of childhood.

If you’re launching new pajamas, children’s clothing, or another kids product and need lifestyle or commercial photography, I’d love to help you create images that make your products impossible to scroll past.
