This Logan Utah baptism portraits session for Riley felt especially emotional for me because I’ve been photographing her since she was literally a newborn. Watching the families I photograph grow over the years is one of my favorite parts of this job, but honestly, it also makes me wonder how everyone suddenly got old enough for baptisms.
And Riley absolutely looked stunning for her session.
We photographed her portraits at the Logan Tabernacle, which gave the entire gallery such a timeless and elegant feel. Between the historic architecture, soft neutral tones, and beautiful evening light, every image felt classic in the best way.
But I genuinely cannot talk about this session without mentioning her dress because WOW. It was incredible. The detailing photographed so beautifully and added such a soft, elevated look to the entire session.

Logan Utah Baptism Portraits with a Timeless Feel
One thing I love about baptism sessions is how meaningful they become for families over time. These photos capture such a specific season of childhood right before everything starts changing so quickly.
For Riley’s session, we focused on creating portraits that felt soft, joyful, and timeless while still letting her personality shine through naturally. Since I’ve photographed her family for years, the entire session already felt relaxed from the beginning.
That comfort always makes such a difference in photos.
The Logan Tabernacle worked perfectly for this session because it adds so much character without feeling distracting. The historic building, white details, and surrounding scenery create a beautiful backdrop for baptism portraits throughout every season in Cache Valley.
I photograph many families throughout Logan, Providence, North Logan, Hyde Park, and surrounding Northern Utah areas, and the Tabernacle continues to be one of my favorite locations for more classic portrait sessions.

Why baptism portraits matter so much for families
Baptism sessions are about so much more than simply documenting a milestone. They preserve who these children are during such a sweet and important season of life.
I always encourage families to make baptism portraits feel special instead of treating them like just another item on the calendar. Years from now, these are often the images parents treasure most because they capture both personality and growth at the same time.
One thing I especially loved about Riley’s session was how confident and calm she felt throughout the evening. There was such a sweetness to the entire session, and every detail came together beautifully.
The combination of the elegant dress, the historic Logan Tabernacle, and the soft evening light made the gallery feel incredibly timeless. Nothing felt trendy or overly styled. It simply felt genuine and beautiful.
Sessions like this remind me why I love photographing families year after year. Watching little newborns grow into kids with their own personalities, milestones, and stories honestly feels like such a privilege.
I absolutely loved creating these Logan Utah baptism portraits for Riley and documenting such a meaningful season for her family.
