Just because you and your hubby have officially tied the knot doesn’t mean you can’t date! Be creative with your date plans and keep it spicy! Most married couples fall into a routine and spend every night having dinner and snuggling up on the couch to a good movie. Although this is a great and fun date night, it’s important to keep the spice alive between you two! Here are some fun ideas for dates for newlyweds!
Go Camping
During the warm summer days, camping is a great way to spend some quality time with you spouse! With all of the technology these days, camping is the perfect solution to not let the electronics get in the way. Leave them at home, pitch a tent and have a few drinks in front of the fire. Spend the night reconnecting under the starry sky and falling in love all over again!
Take a Walk
Many couples claim they don’t have time to go on dates once they tie the knot. Both parties are busy with work and other things. Well don’t let the excuses stand in your way. Even a quick date is better than no date. After dinner one evening, go on a walk around the neighborhood or at a nearby trail! Not only is it a great way to digest your meal but it will give you a chance to disconnect from your busy schedules and catch up with each other!
Have a Picnic
Picnics are the perfect way to spend the afternoon warmer weekend days! Pack up a basket, grab a blanket and head to your local park. Spend the afternoon catching some rays along side of your spouse! If you have the entire day, hang around and watch the sunset with a few cocktails!
Explore Something New
Although you and your spouse have probably been on many different dates, try finding something both of you haven’t done before. Whether it’s something spontaneous like skydiving or just a museum you both have never been to, you will be sure to have a great time. Exploring something new together is a great way to reconnect with your partner and have a great time trying new things!
Go for Ice Cream
Everyone loves ice cream! It’s the perfect dessert or warm summer treat. Take time out of the week and go grab ice cream at your local creamery. Combine it with a nice walk and some good conversation and voila, the perfect date for a newlywed couple.
It’s important as newlyweds to not fall into a specific routine. Try making a goal of at least once a week to plan some sort of date night. This will keep your relationship young and exciting and also keep the spark alive!
