Mackenzie and Alan’s love story began in the desert but grew in Northern Utah. Both these two grew up in Las Vegas, and both came to Utah State for college. Once they got here, they realized that they had a ton of things in common and that they’d rather not live their lives apart from each other. I got to meet with them before their pretty ring was finished so I made sure to give Alan my contact info so that I could come and get photos of their proposal. He set up his proposal up Logan canyon earlier this summer. Mackenzie’s sister and boyfriend came and hung pictures from a tree and I hid behind outhouse. Mackenzie was so surprised when they showed up to find pictures of them in a beautiful spot by the river. She said yes and I was so happy to be there to capture the moment!
Last week, Mackenzie flew up from Vegas for our engagement session. We only had one night to shoot, and there was rainstorm blowing in that had me a little nervous. Luckily we started a little bit early and captured some amazing light at Zollinger’s tree farm. These two were at ease in front of the camera. Alan was just so happy to have his fiance back for the weekend that he couldn’t stop smiling and kissing her. Mackenzie had her makeup done by @BbeautifulArtistry and was glowing. I love this girl and her happy personality. We saw the clouds rolling in so they changed fast and drove/flew to the next location. It was already raining when we got there and I was sprinting to the field. I heard Alan say “Everyone loves kissing in the rain, right?” and I knew they were the perfect couple for a wet engagement session. We shot til it was too wet and these two were so fun braving the elements and loving each other. I love adventurous couples. Can’t wait for their August wedding!
