I’ve known Melissa Kay Shoop since she was born. My mom and her mom were pregnant together and she is just months apart from my little sister, Brooklyn. They were in sunbeams together, joy school and went to the same Elementary, middle and high school.
Just 13ish years ago, I went to their joy school graduation and soon I will be going to their North Thurston high school graduation. When they were little girls, Brooklyn and Melissa were in a soccer camp and Lauren (my twin) and I were the cheerleaders. When we were in middle school, we all four clogged together, and she has been tap dancing ever since. I can’t believe my kinda-little sister is so old and so dang gorgeous.
Our session was held at the adorable Nisqually Wildlife Refuge barns. It was full of smiles, laughs, a little blinding by the reflector and ended with some clogging and Harry Potter. A special thank you to Austin Falter for holding the reflectors, all the clothes and running back and forth from the van to the barns. I love this girl and I was so happy she chose me to do her senior pictures. We had a BLAST.
