Memory Grove Wedding | Terri and Steve

Memory Grove Wedding

This Memory Grove Wedding was stunning! Terri & Steve were married on the day after Independence Day! I loved the soft and elegant decor for this fun couple who love riding motorcycles together. They had a beautiful and bright ceremony at the Memorial House at Memory Grove with their closest family and friends. Terri and Steve found each other a little later in life, but it was clear that they’ve both found their happily ever afters.

Honoring Parents during Wedding

My favorite part of their day was how they included multiple generations, honoring their past and connecting with the future. Terri’s garter had Steve’s dad’s ring and mother’s cross attached, as well as her parents’ rings. They had an empty seat at the very front of the ceremony with a sign reading “In honor of those who are watching from Heaven. We love you!” Terri took a moment after she walked down the aisle to place some flowers in the seat. Her grandson, Kash, was the ring-bearer and her other grandson, Keagan, walked her down the aisle.

Button Up Reception

During the ceremony, the pastor gifted the couple with a Webster’s dictionary. Inside, he had removed the word divorce. He explained his hope that in difficult times, Terri & Steve would never consider divorce, but instead, look to God for help, put each other’s needs first, and remember all their wonderful times together.

After the ceremony they had their reception at Button Up in Salt Lake City. The food was catered by a personal friend of Terri’s and it was so delicious! Their cake topper was made to look like something Steve once wrote in the sand while on vacation- S + T, with a heart in the middle and a cupid’s arrow through it. I love finding out about these personal touches to weddings that make the decor so much more meaningful!

I’m so excited for this sweet couple and their future together!
