There is nothing sweeter than welcoming a new baby, and getting to photograph those early days is always such an honor. This newborn session with the Shumway family at Blush Door Studio was full of love, soft snuggles, and all the cozy, sleepy newborn vibes.
This was baby number two for the Shumways, and I was so excited to work with them again. It’s always extra meaningful when I get to document multiple milestones for a family. Their toddler brought plenty of big energy, but with a few well-timed snack breaks and treats, we captured the sweetest sibling moments.

Let’s be honest—toddlers don’t always follow the photo plan. And that’s okay. Some of the most meaningful images come from letting kids be themselves.
With patience, encouragement, and yes, plenty of snacks, we captured genuine moments the Shumways will treasure for years. Some of my favorite images came from the in-between moments: a toddler giggling while peeking at their new sibling, or the whole family cuddled together on the studio bed.
