Okay I have to start by telling that I totally messed up on this shoot. I had us walk 15 minutes up a trail, only to realize it was the wrong trail. Kylee told me that the trail should end in a big open area where you should be able to walk down to the water. I was so excited and we left early because I knew that I wanted to walk down the trail! We get to the end of the trail, and we’re up on this huge cliff surrounded by DEAD trees. Also, I’m a photographer that believes you can take pictures anywhere. I promise you there was no where to take pictures here. Okay there was one spot. We definitely used that one spot as much as we could, But I knew I wanted the correct location. I decided to make a hard decision and sacrifice some light to get the big open area with the rocky beach, and I’m so glad I did!! Look at these beautiful images!

I made these two walk 15 minutes back down the trail, drive to the other parking lot, and walk 15 minutes up another trail. I don’t think I’ve ever done something so stupid during a shoot. But everything was fine because we got plenty of pictures just in time for the sun to set. We ended the session with a beautiful silhouette shot. After you scroll down, I think you’ll agree that we made the right decision to walk an extra 45 minutes for the correct location! So sorry, Savannah & David!!
