I have always dreamed of being an Orange County wedding photographer. After spending several years in Utah, my dream is coming true with back to back weddings in California.
Utah and California Connections
Jensen and Austin both happen to be from Utah. During our bride meeting, I found out that they were planning a small wedding/elopement at the Newport Beach LDS Temple and I just knew they were the couple for me! Jensen grew up visiting Newport Beach for family vacations and spending days together at Disneyland. Choosing a beautiful spring day in Orange County was no question for her when planning her special day!
Crystal Cove Bridals
During their bride meeting, I learned a lot of about the Utah natives. This power couple love the outdoors and both are athletes that coach and spend a lot of time teaching others.
We planned for engagements in Utah near their hometown, and Bridals in Orange County where they married in the Newport LDS Temple. Jensen and I shared locations back and forth trying to find the perfect spot for their photos. Jensen chose beautiful Crystal Cove for their bridals and we were not disappointed one bit! Orange County is known for it’s crystal blue waters, and we were lucky enough to be there on a perfect day!
Grandma’s Dress
Jensen honored her grandmother that had passed by wearing her beautiful wedding dress! There was no need for alterations at all. It fit her like a glove and she glowed on that Southern California Beach. Austin lead Jensen down the grand staircase to warm sand where we started shooting. Jensen brought her mom and sister to help her adjust grandma’s dress just right. Meanwhile, the women told me all about grandma and what a warrior she was. It was so special to hear about such a wonderful woman.
After a few foggy nights, the sun was glowing behind the couple.
At last, we walked the beaches ad shot as the sparks flew between Austin and Jensen. The two of them walked that coastline like a catwalk with invisible heart eyes piercing each others faces all night.
Finally, we ended the night with so many beautiful images and I cannot stop drooling over every.single.one!
