Our sweet baby girl turned one and we had to celebrate! I started planning the decor and ordering prints months before her big day. Decorating the house with girly banners is the best thing ever. I just want to keep them up forever. We got in super late from Washington the night before and it was already officially her birthday. Even though she was half asleep, we sang to her and she instantly smiled and danced. We basically never stopped singing to her the next morning. In the afternoon Rachel came over and we got all the decorations hung, and I stopped at Macey’s to get the food. The party was pretty small and low-key, but we’re super thankful for those that were able to be there to celebrate sweet Piper. She wasn’t a big fan of cake, but she loved her apple slices and Duke.
And my fave part of the night is when Brody wrapped up his present for Piper from his beloved treasure chest and helped her open it. A book he picked out from the bookshelf. Heart melted.
