Photographing another photographer’s family is always such a fun experience, and Stacey’s family session in Preston, Idaho was an absolute highlight. I’ve admired her work for a long time, so finally meeting her in person and capturing her family in this beautiful setting made the session even more special.
We spent the evening just outside of Preston in the mountains, surrounded by incredible views and a stunning reflective water feature that added a dreamy element to their gallery. With energetic boys, nonstop laughter, and relaxed mountain vibes, this session perfectly embodied everything I love about Preston Idaho mountain family photos.
Mountain Views and Real-Life Moments
Northern Utah and Southern Idaho are full of underrated photo locations, and this spot near Preston truly delivered. Rolling hills, soft golden light, mountain peaks, and a glassy pond created the perfect backdrop for family photos that feel timeless and natural.
What really made this session stand out, though, was the energy of the kids. The boys were playful, silly, and full of personality, and instead of trying to quiet things down, we embraced it. The result was a gallery filled with genuine laughter, connection, and real moments that reflect this family exactly as they are.
