For this shoot with Backroads Vintage, we focused on their convertible cake stand + charcuterie board, and honestly—it was a dream product to style. It’s simple, functional, and beautiful. Everything Amazon shoppers want in their cart, right?

This session was all about highlighting versatility and aesthetic appeal in a way that felt organic and high-end. We styled two key scenes: one for use as a classic cupcake stand, and one showcasing its use as a charcuterie or grazing board. Both scenes were designed with the customer in mind, helping them imagine this product in their kitchen, their party setup, or even their holiday hosting plan.
Our Breakdown of the Shoot
For the cake stand version, we used soft linens, white-on-white tones, and the most gorgeous pastel cupcakes to create a clean and minimal aesthetic that really let the product shine. The shape, height, and finish of the stand looked stunning against natural light and a neutral backdrop. No clutter—just form, function, and frosting.
Then we switched gears and styled the same product as a charcuterie board. Think rustic meets elevated: fresh fruits, meats, nuts, cheeses, and herbs layered beautifully to show how much food it can hold and how visually satisfying it is to use. Shoppers love a multi-use product, and this board delivered.
