If I could only use one word to describe this day, I would say HAPPY. Ridiculously, insanely, beautifully happy. From the moment Jake and Mckenzie exited the temple as husband and wife, their faces were bright and smiley. The smiles and giddy-ness never left. You could truly tell it was their happiest, best day ever. Jake and Mckenzie were married in the Logan Temple. The grounds were packed full of their family and closest friends. You would have thought there were 3-4 weddings because of how many close friends and family they have, but we were lucky to have the whole temple to ourselves that day.
After the temple, we headed to Mack Park in Smithfield for a ring ceremony, delicious dinner by Texas Roadhouse and PARRRTY. They did an incredible job turning the park into a romantic wedding setting. The details were so beautiful!! Huge blown up prints, lanterns hanging from the trees, signs, monogrammed pillows, greenery and dressed up stumps everywhere. The groom’s family owns Sign Pro. They printed canvas, giant prints, and signs surrounding the entire park. I want duplicates of every single one for my studio. They made the entire day fun for everyone with tons of lawn games, smores, delicious donuts and lots of dancing!
Six priceless moments to sum up the Redd’s wedding day:
-The father/daughter dance was “I’ve got one less problem without you.” And they both rocked out to it. It was hilarious. I’m still laughing.
-The mother/son dance was Uptown Funk. Momma Redd has the moves. Everyone joined in.
-Instead of a wedding toast, there was a roast.
-They were 20 minutes late to their ring ceremony after the temple because they had to go through chic-fil-a drive thru.
-The groom took the entire top layer of cake off during the cake smash and shoved it right in his brides face.
-The after party shook the entire town of Smithfield.
