Today is so exciting! I think Rylie and her family are some of the people I’ve known the longest in my life! I am so thrilled to be part of her wedding day! Rylie and I grew up in the same hometown in Hamilton, MT, and Adam grew up about an hour away from us. Thanks to some inter-valley activities and a mutual friend’s birthday, they finally met and sparks flew! They dated through the last few years of high school and when it came to choosing colleges, they figured that would lead them down different paths… until they both separately chose Utah State. They continued their relationship here in Logan and realized they wanted it to be a forever kind of thing. So on New Year’s Day Adam lead her out to a special place in her Montana backyard, near the river and asked her to be his wife. She said yes!!

Their session is in the early morning, and definitely one of the more chilly days we have had this winter. I am a sucker for morning light though, the softness and generally fogginess makes the romance go through the roof. Rylie is a dream bride and super involved on USU campus as a RA, club women’s rugby and collecting A’s in her social work classes. She is so on top of every detail of her wedding planning;she really thought through her outfits, location and even her announcements prior to the shoot, so everything could come together smoothly. Adam is the perfect supporter and you can tell they face everything as a team. He treats her so sweetly, it was a joy to watch. We laughed and chatted and shivered through their session, and every time I offered to let them put their coats on they said “We’re Montana kids, we’re fine!” I’ve never been so proud! :) Can’t wait for their Logan wedding in May!
