Bride Tip • Salt Lake City Wedding Venues

Salt Lake City Wedding Venue and Wedding Reception Guide

Venue shopping in Salt Lake can be SO fun because there are literally hundreds of options! Here in SLC, your wedding, your way. There is the perfect ceremony and reception space for every bride. But how to sort through them all? That is where I come in. I have been a professional wedding photographer in northern Utah for many years. Which means I have been to a venue to two!😉 And I am here to help you decide on the best Salt Lake City Wedding Venues for your big day. Below I have my top 6 SLC venues and some other great options. Complete with pricing, max occupancy, the address, and my overall thoughts. Happy venue shopping!

My Top 6 Choices

The Falls Event Center

The Falls Event Center is one venue that you and your guests will never forget. Fun. Fancy. And FAB! My Kylee Ann brides are always happy with this choice. There are two reservation options. My bride Claire chose the north building, featured below. It is more elegant and can seat 250 guests. While the south building has an industrial style and can seat 150. Pricing starts at $2200 for either location.

The Falls Event Venter is located at Trolley Square – 580 South 600 East. This is definitely a venue you want to call and schedule a tour. It is so fun just to even walk through! Be warned though, you will be walking out in love with the Falls!

Le Jardin

I could never say enough good about this venue. Just look at the 3 pictures below. Can you say GORGEOUS? Overflowing flowers. Tall bright trees. And some of the most exotic plants you have ever seen! Could you ask for better wedding decor? Plus, Le Jardin gives you the outside tropical reception without any worry of what Utah weather will decide to do on your day. Really, just stepping inside make me feel happier!
Now to the technical stuff. Le Jardin is located in Sandy at 1910 Dimple Dell Road (10600 S). There are two separate venue options to choose from. The Chateau is an outside, 5000 square foot venue that rents for $1600 for 5 hours. And Le Jardin is an inside, 10,000 square foot venue that is priced at $2000 for the same amount of time. Both options seat 96 guests. But if you have a larger number in mind call, Le Jardin has incredible customer service and will definitely work with you! Go tour today. Even if you are just considering. It is seriously my favorite venue to walk through.

Wetland Discovery Point

For the budget that is a little tighter, the Wetland Discovery Point is a fun choice that can still give you everything you want! It oversees beautiful waters. And what could be more romantic than a sendoff by boat? Lots of foliage and bridges surround this wooden building that will make for some perfect outdoor pictures.

Pricing starts at $750 for a 6 hour reservation! A great value. The max occupancy is 250 guests. The Wetland Discovery Point is located in Kaysville at 920 S 50 W. This is such a fun and easy location. I love it!

Hidden Valley Country Club

When I think of the Hidden Valley Country Club, the first word that comes to mind is – comfortable. It is an intimate venue that has a way of bringing a group together. The outside is made with beautiful stone and the quality keeps rolling on the inside. The hardwood dance floor is perfect for every two left feet twirler! Hidden Valley is a great option.

Prices vary greatly depending on which room(s) you choose to reserve. They range form $200-$1000 and there are lots of add-ons you can choose from (like a chocolate fountain, who could say no?) The total amount of guests seating is about 300. Hidden Valley Country Club is located in Sandy at 11820 South Highland Drive. A great venue to keep in mind!

La Caille

Skip down to the third picture and just ooo and ahh for me. La Caille is absolutely gorgeous. I have been to a lot of venues through the years and this may be at the very top of my favorites list. There are beautiful backdrops such as their river, bridge, or ceremony gazebo. But my personal favorite? The greenhouse! Everything is so fresh and bright. My Kylee Ann bride, Bel, absolutely glowed all day. She loved her venue pick.

La Caille is located on 9565 S Wasatch Blvd in Sandy at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon. So, there is plenty of greenery and nature inside and out! Prices start at $2700 but can go up depending on the day of the week and time. This venue has hosted anywhere from 100 to over 1000 guests! You will not be running out of space if you need it. Definitely make sure La Caille is on your touring list.

Cactus and Tropicals

Yes, another fresh greenhouse (I admit I’m obsessed). So what makes Cactus and Tropicals different? They are actually a flower shop as well as a venue – which means not only do they grow plants, they specialize in them! The variety and beauty of their tropical flowers and greenery far outdoes any other greenhouse venue around.

Cactus and Tropicals is located here in SLC at 2735 South 2000 East. Pricing begins at $1700 and the venue can fit up to 300 guests! Great location. Great price. And overall perfect venue. I love Cactus and Tropicals!

My Other Recommendations

When I first read their name, totally said “Red Butt” in my head 😉 It’s name may “crack” a smile, but don’t let that scare you!  In all seriousness, Red Butte Garden is owned by U of U and they do an amazing job helping their brides. It is located at 300 Wakara Way in Salt Lake. Rental rates begin at $1300 and their venue can seat 150 guests or allow almost 400 if you are wanting a coming and going reception. This garden venue is breathtaking. Who wouldn’t want to get married in a ROSE garden? Plus, there is also a amphitheathre available too! I will let your wedding creativity and Pinterest boards do something amazing with it. I definitely recommend checking that out the Red Butt!

Noah’s Event Venue

Noah’s is incredible. They’re only goal and priority is to cater to YOU, and their impeccable service proves it. They take care of everything and anything you want them to. Setting up, taking down, any last minute arrangements – covered. Plus, their venue is spectacular. Big, beautiful rooms ready for royalty. They have great lighting for pictures and even add fun colored accent lights! I fell in love when I first stepped into Noah’s. The pricing begins at $1900 and 300 guests can attend. The venue is located in South Jordan at 332 W 11000 S. Only about 20 minutes from Salt Lake. Noah’s Event Venue will not disappoint!

Joseph Smith Building

The Joseph Smith Building is right across the street from the Salt Lake LDS Temple at 50 W. North Temple. Which makes it almost a no brainer for my mormon brides. Easy travel! It is a stunning, historic building with 12 different reception rental options. They vary on max occupancy, pricing, and floor level – so for the perfect fit I recommend calling the JSB and asking for Chris! She is wonderful to work with and will make venue shopping SIMPLE. Pricing ranges from $100 to $2,800 and capacity can be anywhere from 20 to 1,200. Whatever you are looking for, they can deliver!

Arbor Manor is a elegant venue. They have so many different options of how to set up your wedding – a garden, curling staircase, grand ballroom, and so much more! When you book you will receive an event coordinator that will help you find the BEST vendors around. They will bring your Pinterest board to life! Pricing begins at $1400. And the Arbor Manor can accommodate 120 seating or 350 for a flowing reception. It is located at 2888 W 4700 S in Salt Lake. I definitely recommend taking a look into this dreamy venue.

Magnolia Grove is an extremely large dream home located in South Jordan at 1117 West South Jordan Pkwy. Red brick and tall white pillars just stand for perfect! My favorite part though? Their grounds. They have a fresh rose garden area with a waterfall running through it. Plus a great gazebo for those “I Do’s”. Compared to other venues I do think it comes a little over priced. The cost begins at $3800. However, they can accommodate 550 guests whereas other venues often lack that the space. Plus, depending on the package you select, your cake, flowers, and some refreshments may be included. If that guests list is running long, Magnolia Grove is definitely a venue to look into!

If you are looking for a sweet cottage feel, Aspen Landing is your space! It is so quaint and peaceful here. Maximum occupancy is 100 sitting down or 300 if you are planning on hosting a flowing reception. They do all of the catering for you and have an event coordinator you can sit down with to help plan out your day! Aspen is located in Taylorsville at 6388 S Redwood Rd just 14 miles from SLC. Pricing starts at $1200 but will go up deepening on the day and time. Aspen Landing is a cute venue!

This is the Place: Heritage Park

My favorite SLC venue list would not be complete without mentioning This is the Place: Heritage Park! It is located in SLC at 2601 E Sunnyside Ave. There are 9 different reservation options so pricing and maximum occupancies vary greatly. Cost generally ranges from $500 – $2000 and these venues can accommodate anywhere from 72 to 350 guests! The sites you can reserve are quite historic to the Salt Lake community. There old chapels and even the Kimball home! If you are looking for some added meaning for a venue, This is the Place: Heritage Park may be the right choice for you.

Day Barn

The Day Barn is an original barn of Draper, Utah. A pretty incredible history comes with this restored venue! It has been relocated to 1166 E. Pioneer Road in Pioneer Square, Draper Park. Everything has been updated and redone in a wooden rustic style. A MUST for every girl with a little country in her. Pricing starts at $175 for half day rentals and can seat 100 guests. A great venue that will fit into any budget!

And last but definitely not least, Log Haven! R.F. Rains first built this hideaway as an anniversary present for his wife. And now it has served Salt Lake for over 80 years. This venue has received many awards, and it isn’t hard to figure out why. Their customer service is one of the BEST you will find in the whole state of Utah. With many different reservation options available, their event planners can perfect your special day. Log Haven can accommodate 2 – 400 guests and prices can range from $650 – $2000. And located on 6451 E. Millcreek Canyon Road, it is just a short drive from anywhere you are coming from. I love Log Haven!
