I am SO so so SO beyond honored to be a Shoot and Share Contest Winner. This is the first official contest I have ever entered. With over 110,000 images + 20 million votes, I never ever imagined placing in the top 20! I had several images in the top 100 categories, which was amazing!!! But when the top 20 places in each category started getting announced, I jumped for joy every time I was tagged in a post. After the 5th time, I couldn’t even believe it. This is AMAZING…and a huge accomplishment for me.
Sometimes having your own business with no employees can be difficult because you don’t have someone to run ideas by or pat you on the back for a job well done. Yes, there’s my amazing clients who are so wonderful to say thank you and kind things. BUT there is also so many other photographers that you constantly compare yourself to all the time. I felt like the Shoot and Share Contest was my big pat on the back. I really needed this to motivate me! So thank you everyone who voted and encouraged me in my career. And most of all thank you to my most beautiful subjects! They are truly the reason I placed!!
