Kenzie and Tate met under a starry night night sky. It was 4th of July and the atmosphere was electric. They both came with friends, and Kenzie took the chance to sit by that cute boy she didn’t know. That moment of bravery changed everything. Two missions and some college later, they are both back in Utah and totally in love. Kenzie served in Kirkland and Tate served in Thailand. They returned within one day of each other. Tate returned to the U.S. with plans to date her. Everything fell into place and they are gearing up to live their happily ever after. I have known Kenzie and her family for years. They are some of the best people I know. Kenzie exudes a quirky grace that is so hard to find. She is a painter and specialized in religious art. She spreads happiness into the world with her art and her sense of humor. She does a wicked Miranda impression too. Tate is one of those guys that makes friends everywhere he goes. He’s always up for a good adventure. When we were on the mountain, Tate kept wanting to go home to get his snowboard instead! Together these two are a powerhouse couple. They both make each other laugh until it hurts and they can’t keep a straight face if they are looking at each other. My favorite part of their engagements was when some other people walked passed us and asked when the wedding date was. Kenzie replied under her breath “He’s my brother!!” Tate and I couldn’t stop laughing for about 15 minutes. I seriously love how giggly they are. Can’t wait for their wedding in January!!!
