What it takes to make the new Kylee Ann team…

My parents were entrepreneurs my whole life long. I’ve learned a lot from watching them. One lesson is that IF you can choose who to work with it is a privilege and a great responsibility. So choose people who make you better, who bring passion and skill to the table, and good people who you work well with and like. The new Kylee Ann team takes it one step further… I can honestly say I love the ladies I work with.

First, there’s Rachel…

Luke and I were having pillow talk about all the changes with Kylee Ann Studios a few night ago, and he asked how Rachel was doing with all of it.

I said “Rachel said she’s my barnacle and is stuck with me until the end. The Kylee Ann Team would be nothing without Rachel” and he said, “I hope you’ve told her that recently.”⠀

I couldn’t be more grateful for Rachel’s friendship, her work ethic, her constant service and loyalty. She has worked hard these last five years to grow her own brand within KAS. She is our founding associate, which came with lots of learning curves. Now she’s our lead wedding photographer and encyclopedia of all of the things.

Not to mention these two new photographers…

It should be noted that I’ve cried so many happy, grateful tears bringing on these ladies onto the NEW Kylee Ann Team.

Mandi and Shelby are women that have been apart of my life for a lot of years. Friends I’ve cried with. Friends I’ve laughed with. True, loyal, loving friends that have been there for me in the hardest and happiest times. When I saw each of their names come through on the applications, the rest was history. Mandi will do commercial work with me, and Shelby will be one of our wedding photographers. All four of us will shoot families.

They both have years of photography experience in their own businesses, and will be trained on the KA system with me and Rach. I hope that together they will help me and I will help them to take things to the next level.

I can’t wait for you guys to get to know these beautiful women! And of course, I am eternally grateful for Rachel as our founding associate, Katie and Katelyn for all their hard work to make our team work behind the scenes. Kylee Maughan

Kylee started Kylee Ann Photography 9 years ago, and has since grown from a one woman amateur show to a full associate team. We shoot 50-75 weddings a year, and thrive on kindness and service. After a year of teaching Intro to Photography at the local technical college, she discovered that helping other entrepreneurs create thriving businesses is what fires her up! She hosts semi-annual Kylee Ann Sleepovers all over the US, speak at conferences and teach online courses about running a small business and marketing.
