The Riter Mansion Wedding Reception | Caleb & Andi

Before we get to The Riter Mansion Wedding Reception, let’s talk about how I met these two! Caleb and Andi hired me just one month before their wedding day. It was so much fun getting to know them so fast and doing their bridals so quickly after we met! For me, their wedding really came out of nowhere and made my summer so much better!

Andi & Caleb chose the Box Elder Campgrounds for their formal session. We started off in a gorgeous tall grass field. The sun was behind the mountains already so the light was soft and it was calm and beautiful in every direction. Andi had two wedding dresses so it was really fun to take some pictures in the first dress and then get to start all over! After Andi changed out of her first dress, she asked me if we could go somewhere else. She wanted more light. I said yes, of course, so we drove east and tried to find a patch of sunlight. Man I am so glad we did! Just off the road in a weeded field we found the most beautiful spot where we could still see the sun peeking through the mountains and had about 15 minutes of beautiful golden light. I love the way all their bridals turned out, but I especially love the ones with the sunlight!

One thing I’ve been taught in photography is that if the location you’re at is working, don’t move. Get everything you can in that spot with the good light because if you leave, you may not find a better one. I’m glad Andi didn’t have that in her mind because in this case it was wrong! I’m so glad she spoke up and asked for what she wanted so we could find the beautiful sunlight for her. And I’m glad I’m the type of photographer that she felt comfortable asking me!

Andi & Caleb got married in the Logan Temple. They had the biggest group of friends and family I had ever seen! It was really amazing to see all of their support there! Allie and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning in their floral crowns made by The Plant Peddler. Andi’s sister was also a Kylee Ann Bride when she got married, so it was really fun to get to serve this family again!

They had their reception at the Riter Mansion. They served cookies and ice cream and just had a really relaxed and fun party!  Andi and Caleb sang “I Love You” by Tim Lopez together while Andi played guitar! It was really beautiful and such a cute song! The night ended with a kazoo/ribbon exit that the guests absolutely loved. It was such a fun way to send off this wonderful couple!
