Jenna and Addison patiently waited 40 weeks and a few days for the arrival of their sweet baby boy. Finally after a few days past her due date, she went in to be induced. On Tuesday evening they called to make an appointment. They were asked to come in at 10:00pm. I met them at Logan Regional hospital as they carried in all their bags and checked in at the front desk. There was a lot of paperwork and a little heart rate drop scare at first, but by 12:30 they were ready to start her on pitocin. She labored all night without an epidural!! At about 7:30am, she got an epidural so she could relax a little bit and enjoy pushing. By then their family had arrived in the waiting room so everyone came back to say hello and good luck. At 11:00am, she had been at a 10 for over an hour and was ready to start pushing. At 11:30am, Lincoln Addison Gines was born. He was a big 8lbs 13oz and 20 inches long. The emotions were so raw and sweet from mom, dad, and all the grandparents. It was a beautiful birth and a beautiful day.
